A few sketches
I am between assignments, so I am just reading up on the latest and greatest stuff in the programming world. There is only so much of that you can do, and yesterday I found a sketch pad Kevin and Karen gave me, in my bag. Here are a few sketches: Family vacation, and a cat.

Smoky Mountains
We drove to Smoky Mountains National Park last Thursday. Got back on Monday. We went with friends, and it turned out to be a very enjoyable trip. Just the kind of break Pam and I needed. We mostly hiked. Went up Chimney Tops Mountain. Saw bear (mother and cub) in the Cades Cove area. Saw 4 snakes on the day we hiked to Abrams Falls. I think they were of the nonpoisonous variety.
Here are some pictures where I was playing with shutter speed. Thanks to Brian for finding places I could use in lieu of tripod. Pic in the middle is that of Abrams Falls. I am pretty happy about that one, since it was a hand-held shot.
